Government Arts and Science College , Tirupattur was established as a Constituent College of Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore in the year 2011 with 6 UG Courses. Later in 2020, the college was converted to Government Arts and Science College. 

The college, at present offers 9 UG courses  B.A (Eng), B.A(Tam), B.B.A., B.C.A., B.Com, B.Com (CA), B.Sc (Com. Sci). B.Sc ( Maths)., B.Sc(Phy) and 4 PG courses M.A(Eng), M.Com, M.Sc(Com, Sci), M.Sc(Maths) with 18 00 students.

This is the only Government College in the Tirupattur district and it caters to the need of rural and tribal students (Jawadhu Hills) of in and around Tirupattur. The college is situated 10 Kms away from Tirupattur in Tirupattur- Bangalore State HighWays and 12 Kms away from Barghur in Bangalore – Tirupattur State Highways. The nearest junction is Jolarpet, Which is 15 Kms away from our college.
